where the hell did this rain come from? I finally had a saturday off that I didn't request, but the weather prevented me from having fun during day, even though I got to go out at night. It was another crazy week, with back to back quizzes, stunning physics mid-term results, nail-biting laker games, and of the course the rain, which some how transformed into the perfect reason to skip school. Telling my parents I was going to miss school on a normal day would pop questions in their mind about my commitment, but during a torrential rainstorm it's actually an amazing idea. They even complemented me for making a smart decision because of the danger that lurks when driving on wet roads. Don't get me wrong, but the rain did freak me out on Thursday. My friend picked me up and we were on our way to school only to hit massive ponds of water on the freeway and have it spray all over the windshied. We immediately second guessed going to school, and with both of us having more important things to do (my friend had a world of warcraft raid he would have missed and I was gonna miss the lakers-boston game) we drove back home. So it ended up being a good day because lakers won, and I got to scream a little and have a good night's sleep.
I usually love rain. As a kid, people thought I was a freak for actually wanting it to rain. I remember sticking my head out of the car windows when we were parked to feel the rain on my face as a kid. Rainy days were awesome days in my book. But things have slightly changed, as this current rainstorm couldn't piss me off even more. Now that you have to drive through this shit, go to school through it, and be locked at home when you can very much be doing something else, I dislike the rain. Yes, the occasional rain storm is still great because rain and southern california don't seem to mix, but not these prolonged storms. ok that's enough of the weather. don't you love how you can just go on and on about the weather when you really don't have much to say? If you see someone you haven't seen in a while, you can break the awkward silence after greeting eachother by mentioning how delightful/horrible the weather is. I've done it a lot and trust me it gets you through some unwanted situations.
*yawn* hopefully this week can be action-packed like last week. (hopefully the blogs end up being less of these "oh and this is how my week went" type of blogs. i need to put on my thinking cap!)
