the election

With 2008 finally being a year I can vote, I am taking more time analyzing candidates and thinking of who deserves my vote. I have watched many debates, but I have often been disappointed because I haven't seen a real "debate." The candidates get asked the same questions, give the same responses, and are afraid to say something radical. I am a Ron Paul fan, and he has been the only one that has given phenomenal answers and sparked real debates. It is really sad to see that McCain, who talks about nothing except the war, can be so far ahead in the republican race. Ron Paul was the one candidate that looked like would actually bring change for good. McCain at the moment looks no different than the current fool in the oval office, and I hope either Obama or Clinton give him no chance of winning the general election. I will end up voting for Obama because he is a candidate that can relate with the American people and has had struggles in his life.
I have nothing against a woman being president, but I wouldn't be to happy seeing Hillary as Commander in Chief. She says good things, but nothing that comes out of her mouth seems believable to me. Every debate she has been to has resulted her into saying the same response on and on, and with Obama in the lead now, she looks desperate to gather votes (she might have to cry a 3rd time).
I just hope that Obama can get in office and begin his plans to change this country for the better. Whoever gives their inaugural speech come '09 should expect the American people to be much more criticizing if they do not accomplish what they have promised throughout the primary process. If they don't have this country back in the right path by the end of their first term, they shouldn't expect to be reelected.
The political process in this country has strayed away from what the fore fathers accomplished 200 years ago. We need a president that follows the constitution and responds to the American people. Also, the people need to realize that at 300 million strong, they should be able to control the government and be in control of what occurs in this country. Don't let a handful of old white men pocket their millions while the middle-class gets a foot rammed up their ass.
