If you remember I had a post a while back about this documentary called Zeitgeist. Last month the sequel to that documentary was released, called Zeitgeist: Addendum. I watched it last night and was blown away by what America has done and is still doing. It focuses more on the global economy, where as the first documentary dealt a lot with religion. It's definitely a good watch and it makes you think about our society and civilization. One of the biggest pleas of the documentary is that we need to adopt a resource based society, and an organization at the forefront of this movement is the Venus Project. Imagine a world that replaces 90% of labor with machines, and is abundant and sustainable. There would be no monetary system, and everything would be so abundant that there never would be a need to sell anything. It sounds far-fetched, but one thing the documentary did was make anything seem possible. Oh ya, and money is the biggest bullshit ever created.
